inCERT Yourself Kick-off Event: Empowering Students for Career Success

Appalachian Ohio Manufacturers’ Coalition is thrilled to announce the kick-off event for the innovative inCERT Yourself program led and created by Washington State Community College, aimed at providing students with industry-recognized credentials to propel them towards successful careers. The program, which has already enrolled 64 students representing 10 school districts, is set to commence with its first session on Friday, January 12.

The kick-off event will commence with a "Meet and Greet" from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM in the WSCC Commons. “We extend a warm invitation not only to participating students but also to school administrators and local business/industry partners to join this groundbreaking initiative,” offered Daniel Leffingwell, Dean of Engineering & Business.

One of the unique aspects of the inCERT Yourself program is the active involvement of local districts. Initially, these districts generously pay for their students to attend, investing in their future. However, upon successful completion and earning of credentials, districts will receive reimbursement of $1,250 per credential earned by each student. Furthermore, each student will have the opportunity to earn two credentials, providing a significant boost to their skills and employability.

The financial support for the program comes from the Innovative Workforce Incentive Program, which aims to encourage educational initiatives that align with workforce development needs.
