  • Exposure to CNC machining processes including CAD, CAM, and finished assembly. Students will program, machine, and assemble their own Air Piston.

  • Funded through the Department of Defense, no cost for this training unless it is run as a private boot camp for an employer.

3D Printing 101

  • 1 day in person

  • 10 people max

  • Bambu slicing software for generating 3D print-ready files.

  • Designing and preparing parts specifically for 3D printing applications.

  • Implementing supports and advanced printing techniques to enhance print quality.


  • 1 day in person

  • 10 people max

  • Setting up a 3D CAD file to generate precise toolpaths.

  • Developing and managing a comprehensive tool library.

  • Creating and optimizing toolpaths for various milling operations.

  • Exporting and posting G-Code tailored for specific CNC equipment.

Fusion360 - CAM


Welding - MIG

  • 1 day in person

  • 5 people max

  • Fundamentals of MIG welding setup and operational procedures.

  • Techniques for welding mild steel.

  • Hands-on instruction in robotic MIG welding using ESAB equipment.


  • 1 day in person

  • 5 people max

  • Verifying program accuracy and performing minor edits for optimization.

  • Strategies to extend tool life and enhance program efficiency.

  • Posting and integrating CAM-generated programs into CNC milling operations.

Part Optimization and Troubleshooting:


Quality and Measurement

  • 1 /2 day course in person

  • 10 people max

  • Measurement practices using micrometers, vernier calipers, and depth mics.

  • Basic blueprint reading, engineering drawing fundamentals, tolerances, titles blocks, view types.

  • Optional Credentials: NIMS measurement, materials, and safety certification


HAAS CNC Mill Operator

  • 1 day in person, ~8hrs online modules if pursuing the HAAS certification.

  • 5 people max

  • Tooling setting, work offsets, machine maintenance and operation, loading programs, understanding setup sheets, overview of G-code.

  • Optional Credentials: HAAS certificate with additional online portion, and NIMS CNC mill operator certification


HAAS CNC Lathe Operator

  • 1 day in person, ~8hrs online modules if pursuing the HAAS certification.

  • 5 people max

  • Tooling setting, work offsets, machine maintenance and operation, loading programs, understanding setup sheets, overview of G-code.

  • Optional Credential: HAAS certificate with additional online portion, and NIMS CNC lathe operator certification


Robotics - Material Handling and ARC Welding

  • 1 day in person

  • 5 people max

  • Basic UR Robot operation and programming for material handling. ESAB robotic welding instruction and Yaskawa Arcworld robotic welding instruction.


Rockwell PLC Training

  • 1 day in person

  • 5 people max

    Introduction to Rockwell Automation’s CompactLogix 5380 and PanelView 5310 PLC systems. Designed for beginners and those seeking to upskill, this hands-on course will cover the foundational skills needed to create, program, and manage PLC applications.

    Key topics include:

    • CompactLogix 5380 and PanelView 5310 Fundamentals: Learn the architecture and operational capabilities of Rockwell's CompactLogix 5380 controllers and PanelView 5310 HMIs.

    • Accelerated Logix5000 Programmer Certificate Level 1: Attain the first level of certification for Rockwell’s Logix5000 programming environment, focusing on efficient and practical application.

    • Project Creation: Understand how to create a new project and configure PLC hardware to meet system requirements.

    • Programming Applications: Develop real-world applications using Ladder Logic and other programming languages within the Logix5000 environment.
